I got to talk to Pevan & Sarah during the hottest part of the Australian summer. I mostly spoke to Sarah actually, and Manny another big part of Pevan and Sarah. Pevan was keeping cool in the air conditioning and couldn’t make our chat. That’s ok with me. I don’t know how much I’d have to say to a tiger! Luckily Sarah and Manny were really fun to talk to and could answer all of my questions about Pevan without putting me in danger. You’ll love hearing about some great music makers from Australia. Stay tuned to the end of the show to hear Pevan & Sarah’s song ‘Keep it Moving’. My four year old loves this one!
Mr. Eric hosts and is a major part of the creative team behind What If World. I am a major major fan and so are my kids. I will even directly point you to episode #65 which Mr. Eric just released this week. He asked me to be a part of the show! I had such a blast. Hope you’ll check that out, and I think you’ll enjoy this conversation with Mr. Eric as much as I did. We got into it! So fun.
What if World is a podcast for kids and families that improvises stories out of “what if” questions that kids send in. From Mr. Eric’s website: “What if there were a never-ending bowl of ice cream? What if cats ruled the world? Join Abacus P Grumbler, Randall Radbot, and Whendiana Joan as they help Mr. Eric tell wacky stories inspired by your questions! Call to leave a voicemail at 205-605-WHAT and be featured on the show.”

Scott Graham started an after school program that has developed into a regional success story. He even started a summer camp called Camp Kahuna to continue the great work of his organization. His work with Kids 4 Kids has earned him a Meritorious Service Decoration from the Governor General of Canada! Scott believes that kids can be leaders and puts this idea into practice every day. This is a great chat and Scott’s story is awesome.

Paul Reisler from Kid Pan Alley was so interesting to talk to. He told me about his time playing hammer dulcimer with the band Trapezoid and everything that led to him being a teacher who travels around the world helping kids write songs. “Kid Pan Alley’s mission is to inspire and empower children to work together to become creators of their own music and to rekindle creativity as a core value in education through the group songwriting process.” I think you will be moved by the work that Paul does, and you should give Kid Pan Alley’s latest album, ‘One Little Song Can Change The World’, a listen with your kids.
