Scott Graham started an after school program that has developed into a regional success story. He even started a summer camp called Camp Kahuna to continue the great work of his organization. His work with Kids 4 Kids has earned him a Meritorious Service Decoration from the Governor General of Canada! Scott believes that kids can be leaders and puts this idea into practice every day. This is a great chat and Scott’s story is awesome.
You should also check out my buddy Kara’s brand new website: www.3oclocksomewhere.comĀ She’s Chloe’s mom from Chloe’s Friendship Circle and she has all kinds of great ideas of things to do with your kids!
Paul Reisler from Kid Pan Alley was so interesting to talk to. He told me about his time playing hammer dulcimer with the band Trapezoid and everything that led to him being a teacher who travels around the world helping kids write songs. “Kid Pan Alley’sĀ mission is to inspire and empower children to work together to become creators of their own music and to rekindle creativity as a core value in education through the group songwriting process.” I think you will be moved by the work that Paul does, and you should give Kid Pan Alley’s latest album, ‘One Little Song Can Change The World’, a listen with your kids.
I had so much fun chatting with Mister G. If you want to hear some beautiful and inspired music that your whole famiily will love you have to listen to his latest releast ‘Mundo Verde / Green World’ which is filled with environmental themes. Be sure to stay until the end of this episode to hear Mister G’s brand new song ‘Patas en el Aire’. Did I mention that Mister G won a Latin Grammy?! He did!

The Canadian National Pond Hockey Championships! What are the Canadian Pond Hockey Championships? You’ll need to listen to the source, John Teljeur, teach us about what makes Pond Hockey different. It sounds like a complete blast. In fact, it sounds like “Pondemonium” (that’s not my joke. I wish I were that clever).
Are you down with the Instant Pot? I’m down with the Instant Pot. I use it for sushi rice, artichokes, and Lentil Soup. You know who is way way way more down with the Instant Pot than I am? This week’s guest, Coco Morante. She’s a genius with the Instant Pot and, in addition to having a bustling facebook page, she just put out a book of Instant Pot recipes. Check her out! Oh wait! There’s more, a brand new 4+1!
