Turns out that Will Parker and I were literally about a 10 minute drive from each other when this interview happened. So bummed! If it weren’t for Covid-19 we could have chatted in person rather than over the phone. “Will Parker is a children’s songwriter and teaching artist who writes and performs music for “kids ages 1-100.” During Will’s whimsical and interactive shows, he plays guitar and harmonica and sings original songs that engage the audience in singing-along, dancing, high-fiving, and imaginative play.” Stay tuned all the way until the end of the show to hear his song ‘Bilgus the Swamp Dwarf’. Will is all about imagination and you’ll love his music!
Ready for some fun? Janet Schreiner from the Cat’s Pajamas joined me for a lively conversation about her career in the kids/family music industry. She has been making spreading joy through music and musical theater and her enthusiasm is completely infectious. Be sure to listen until the end of the show to hear her version of the classic ‘Jellyman Kelly’ from her new record ‘Kitten Kaboodle’. It’s available wherever you get your music!

Have you ever wondered about how an iconic game came into existence? I spoke to Harry Gottlieb who created the game ‘You Don’t Know Jack‘ and he told me about the steps to make the game along with keeping the game fun as the world goes more and more mobile. We also talked about some of the other fun games that his company is working on!
Stephen Michael Schwartz! It was so cool to hear about his time with the Parachute Express and how he has toured the world making music for kids and families. Stephen just released a new album called ‘Bucket of Wow’ and performed the title song live during our talk. Please excuse my horrendous singing!
Dr. Eric helps us solve the mystery behind the “outie”. It’s a complex issue that takes great medical knowledge to explain.
It was a real thrill to talk to Chris aka Caspar Babypants for this weeks show. I think that his music is so great and certainly qualifies as double certified mega Good Stuff. Caspar has a new album coming out in just a few days and it will definitely be a worthy addition to your collection. This is a goooooooood one!
Welcome to the first ever Camp Newman podcast episode. Camp Newman is a Reform Jewish overnight camp in Santa Rosa, California.
In this special episode of the Good Stuff Kids Podcast, we let some campers take over as they bring you an “audio documentary” right from camp. You’ll hear interviews with campers and staff around URJ Camp Newman about their own camp experiences and daily life at camp during the summer. (Everything you hear was recorded on site at camp, so please excuse any loud ambient noise.)
We hope that you felt the love of camp as much as we do and we hope to see you next summer at URJ Camp Newman. This podcast can be found at www.goodstuffpod.com and the Camp Newman Facebook Page. If you want more information about camp please visit campnewman.org.
The interviews on this podcast were conducted by Benji, Hayden, Sarah, Leon, Rachael, Ari, and our counselor Hannah from Hagigah 2016! Thanks for listening!
